Police support organisations & charities
RUC GC - PSNI Benevolent Fund
www.policebenevolentfund.comTo support ex-members of the RUC GC, police widows, dependants, injured and disabled police officers, as well as members of the PSNI who find themselves experiencing financial hardship or difficulty. In all instances, a case of need must be identified.
Local Voluntary Welfare Groups
The Local Voluntary Welfare Groups are local proactive individuals who come together for the benefits of social, welfare and the leisure time activities of all participants. The RUCGC-PSNI Benevolent Fund support the 28 groups dispersed throughout Northern Ireland and provide financial assistance towards running costs coupled by grants for events. Wounded Police and Families Association

Police Care
https://www.policecare.org.ukThe Police Care’ provides welfare support and financial assistance to officers who have been incapacitated as a result of a physical or psychological injury on duty, and to the families of those officers who have lost their lives in the line of their police work. We offer Assistance Grants which can be used for a wide range of purposes, Educational Bursaries for young adults (16-24) and Bereavement Grants to assist in the immediate aftermath of an officer being killed on duty. Both Assistance Grants and Educational Bursaries are dependent upon family income.

Disabled Police Officers Association

The admission criteria are Injury on Duty assessed at 35% – Industrial Injuries 20% – all applicants must produce documentary evidence of injury at the time of application.

Northern Ireland Police Fund

This includes PSNI officers who may be killed or injured in the future in this way. We support our clients through our schemes which are designed to enable them to enjoy a quality of life in their home and make a positive long-term impact on their circumstances.
