Veterans Health & Wellbeing Award 2025

Brooke House Health & Wellbeing Centre

The Brooke House Health and Wellbeing Centre seeks to support and improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of serving and retired members of the British Armed Forces, the Police, Prison and Emergency Services, and their families and carers in Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

Brooke House has been awarded accreditation by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. This is a fantastic achievement and one which we are extremely proud of.

Brooke House aims to provide multi-disciplinary, evidenced-based and outcomes-focused, high-impact support for the care and recovery of the uniformed services and their families, complementing other therapeutic services and providing an environment where they may develop together. Friends of Brooke House

The ‘Be a Friend’ of Brooke House are individuals who choose to support our work in a simple and meaningful way. Every contribution, whether big or small, helps us continue supporting those who have suffered as they have served us.

You can choose to give once or to donate regularly. A monthly standing order, at whatever level feels right, helps us plan for the future and sustain our services. You are always free to change or stop your support at any time.

Together, we can create a community of care and support.

Client Testimonials

  • When the therapist described how Trauma affects the body and brain, I took a deep breath because they put words and understanding to my experience.  I have waited 28 years to understand this… a turning point.

  • I feel safe in Brooke House.  When I leave I feel lighter.

  • I would have responded different before counselling.  Now I understand what my needs are.

  • Loved it – everyone was heartfelt, open and honest.  I liked the trust and confidentiality within the group.

  • We learned about different masks that we wear.  Sometimes you are afraid to be your true self.

  • Brooke House helps people live in the present and plan for the future, yet dealing with the past.

  • I’ve become a much stronger person.  I was at rock bottom when I heard about Brooke House.  It was a lifeline.
